The French Riviera is the perfect holiday destination
If you’re looking for a relaxing seaside break, head to the Cote d’Azur. With its warm Mediterranean climate, it is a great Autumnal escape. A first-class holiday destination, the Cote d’Azur is often referred to as the French Riviera. Once a favourite destination for royalty and aristocrats, it is now possible to visit whatever your budget may be. With its fabulous seafood, splendid shopping and excellent nightlife you won’t worry for lack of things to do. With its various cafes and scenic landscapes, you’ll also enjoy just sitting back and taking in the great atmosphere.
Stretching across France’s Southern coast, the French Riviera is made up of several cities and towns. With its great transport links, Nice is great city to base yourself in while travelling along the coast. An array of cheap hotels also makes this a great place to stay. A walk down the historic Promenade des Anglais and you’ll understand what Nice is really about. The night-time trends are all about glitz and glam, so be sure to pack your trendiest attire. Visit in the shoulder or off season and you’ll find some great deals on cheap hotels.
For a more budget destination, visit Menton. Once belonging to Genoa, this tiny town still has a very strong Italian influence. It’s truly charming with cobbled streets and medieval architecture. With an abundance of shops, gardens and museums, you won’t find yourself short of things to do. There are also several cheap hotels in the area, making it a great to base yourself if you want to travel between the French and Italian coasts.
