Travel to the Paramount’s Carowinds Themed Amusement Park in Charlotte
Spending some of your North Carolina Tourism at Carowinds Amusement Park will not only have you glad you did but your family will think you are the best thing ever!
If you have children under five years of age don’t worry there is little for them to enjoy, there is the Nickelodeon attraction where the kids can take a train ride with Dora-the-Explorer’s Azul or soar, dip and swirl with Danny Phantom. Hands are the part of the game for the little children with the life-size Nickelodeon stars throughout the park.
With kids from six – twelve everyone can make them happy by either seeing many of the live events that go on throughout the park all day or visit Nickelodeon-Central where there are more than twenty attractions for their age group. They can even enter Scooby-Doo’s Haunted Mansion! They will love the free fall into 20 acres of fun in the amusement park. There are fun rides that they will love – even 1 that takes guests three hundred and twenty feet above the park! There is the “Wild mouse” roller coaster that will show the kids a real thrill or the Scream Weaver – Gondolas which twirl in a horizontal angle and shoots into the vertical position, sending riders into upside down orbit. With all these and many more options for the kids they will be busy from the time you enter in until you ultimately get them to leave at the close of the day!
For teenagers between 12 – 18 the thrill never ends. They will ride the Nighthawk, the flying rollar-coaster and highest one in the park or the Rip-Roaring-Rapids with the white water raging rafting you can experience in a 6 person watercraft (and get really, totally soaked). Of course there are the bumper-cars that are a favorite of many children. Now envision them on the Thunder-Road which is a forward and backward roller coaster. You may want to plunge down a forty-five foot waterfall to the pool of water below (another great way to cool down on a steamy day.) There are so many rides and attractions for everyone that they may want you to return with them the next day!
As grandparents you may believe that you want to sit back and watch the kids have all the fun…BZZZZZ! Get out there with them, convince them into going on the Xtreme-SkyFlyer with you and experience the excitement of skydiving as you are lifted one-hundred-fifty-three feet in the sky and then pull the ripcord for a 50 foot free-fall at sixty miles-per-hour. (you need to be really brave for this one and it does require an additional charge.)
If that isn’t adequate for you then go to the Drop-Zone where you will experience a fifty-six mph 100 ft. free fall. Probably don’t want a full stomach just before you do this, could get messy!
The Hurler is the wooden coaster that reaches 50 mph with stomach-twisting dips and turns.
This is just the start of the excitement that awaits you and your family in Charlotte on your North Carolina Piedmont attractions!
