Winter Days Wrapped In Your Double Duvet Cover
I love spending cold Christmas days wrapped up on the sofa in my double duvet cover watching holiday films. Nothing beats sitting down to a chick-flick marathon with a warm mince pie and glass if mulled wine. These are the kind of days you long for when you are stuck at a desk. They are especially well-deserved if you have spent the morning having snow ball fights or building underground palaces out of snow. Warming yourself up can be an excuse but it will be so much fun. The following article is my three top tips for relaxing on a winter’s day.
Movie Day
So you have probably guessed from my introduction that my favourite activity on a cold winter’s day is to wrap up on my sofa, films at the ready with snack food in my double duvet cover. Some of my favourite flicks include The Grinch, Bridget Jones and Love Actually. If I can I will do this for the entire day, only leaving the sofa to go to the bathroom. Before you begin your first film of the day, make sure you have everything you need in touching distance because you will not want to move! You can leave if you really need the toilet though!
Cooking And Baking
I love getting into the kitchen for a good bake if I have a bit of energy. It can feel great when the windows steam up and you are in a little world of your own. Cooing Christmas cookies and decorating them is one of my favourite recipes. Pies, cakes and soups are also very festive. You can relieve stress with cooing which is a relief during the busy season and then you get to eat your treats!
Playing In The Snow
Something a little less relaxing but just as fun is having the traditional snow fight, making snow people and skidding around in the white powder. We are all big kids inside and enjoy a good play out every now and then. Enjoying the winter weather is something that everyone can do whether they are children or adults.
